The Midland RockHounds, the Double-A Affiliate of the Athletics, are seeking a Stadium Operations intern to join our team for the 2025 season!

Our goal is to provide real hands-on experience that can be used to land leading roles within the highly competitive professional sports industry.

The Midland RockHounds Stadium Operations Intern reports directly to the Operations Manager. This paid position begins in spring 2025 and will conclude at the end of the 2025 season.

Main Responsibilities:

Daily operations, cleanup, and maintenance of Momentum Bank Ballpark before, during, and after RockHounds games and sponsored events. Deliver a clean and safe stadium environment for fans, staff, and players from storage and back-of-house areas to fan-facing areas. Assist in maintaining the standards of Momentum Bank Ballpark throughout the baseball season. Assist in part-time and game day employee management, including hiring, training, scheduling, and supervision. General maintenance and cleaning projects Assist in inventory and purchasing supplies for the stadium (cleaning, maintenance, etc.) Maintain stadium and event inventory to ensure it remains in good working condition. Assist in pre-event setup and post-event breakdown, including potential meetings with clients, walk-throughs, etc. Help create operations blueprint for the facility and continue to develop existing event plans. Work closely with the City of Midland to ensure operational standards are met throughout the baseball stadium and surrounding complex. Assist clubhouse managers with game day and non-game day responsibilities when needed including field setup, bus load in/out and meal prep. Serve as on-site representative for events and stadium openings when necessary. Assist with ballpark security procedures including walking and inspecting the stadium daily. Assist with picnic and concession operations when needed. Assist other departments when necessary, including mascot and community appearances. Must be able to work outdoors, in inclement weather (hot, cold, rain, wind, etc.), and on feet for long periods of time. Game Nights:

Monitor stadium for in-game medical, security, maintenance, and cleaning situations. Set up batting practice. Assist with field preparation when needed, including tarp pulls when necessary. Assist with picnic check-in set-up pre-game and post-game breakdown. Assist with online scoring when needed (MLB training provided) Be ready to assist fans and customers with excellent customer service. Knowledge and skill requirements:

Self-motivated, organized and detail oriented. Ability to solve problems and diagnose solutions efficiently. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable working on projects individually and with a team. Willingness to work a variety of hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
