The Public Safety Project Manager position is responsible for the planning, execution, and final implementation of a range of IT projects that support the operational and technology needs of public safety services within the agency. This position will manage projects related to system upgrades, technology and system rollouts, and integrations all aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of law enforcement and public safety operations. The position requires working closely with internal team members, external stakeholders, and third-party contractors to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time, and within scope and budget. The Public Safety Project Manager will also define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. Ideal candidates for the position can demonstrate knowledge of public safety technologies and law enforcement systems to include: + Records Management Systems (RMS) + National Incident-Base Reporting (NIBRS) + Jail Management Systems (JMS) + Security Systems and Cameras This position is within the Ada County Sheriff's Office, Administrative Services Bureau (ASB). DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS Project Manager I - assignments are well defined and of limited scope and technical complexity, using standard procedures and techniques. Guidance is readily available from other team members or management. Schedules, milestones, and priorities are usually provided by management. Project Manager II - assignments are well defined and of moderate scope and technical complexity, where technical supervision provides an outline of the tasks to be performed and suggestions as to methods of approach and procedure to be followed.
