Our challenge
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst to join our team for the QFC (Qualified Financial Contracts) reporting project. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in Regulatory Reporting and the Financial Services industry, combined with strong technical and communication skills. This role requires independent work, interaction with business users and technology staff, and the ability to create and manage detailed documentation and test plans.
Additional Information
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York, NY is $130k - $150k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities: Demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience in Regulatory Reporting within the Financial Services industry. Stay updated with the latest regulatory requirements and ensure compliance. Possess expert-level experience with 12-15 years in the Financial Services industry. Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and deadlines. Strong knowledge of SQL for data mining and analysis. Experience in analyzing large datasets to derive meaningful insights. Exceptional documentation skills, including the ability to formulate Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), and Technical Specifications. Ensure all documentation is clear, concise, and comprehensive. Understanding of QFC reporting is preferred but not mandatory. Willingness to learn and adapt is essential. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with business users and technology staff. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders. Develop and formulate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test cases and testing plans. Ensure thorough testing and validation of all deliverables to maintain high standards of quality. Requirements:

Extensive experience in Regulatory Reporting and the Financial Services industry. Proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools. Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
