Our client,
Murphy Elevator Company , is seeking an Accounting Managerto add to the team! The Accounting Manager provide oversight to the Accounting & Payroll team, as well as, compute, classify, record, and maintaining accurate records of financial transactions.
Essential responsibilities include:
1.Oversee the Company's accounting and financial transactions, as well as, manage the supporting staff. 2.Reconcile and balance accounts. 3.Monitor expenses and enter cash receipts. 4.Document and analyze financial transactions and data; reconcile financial discrepancies. 5.Prepare journal entries; maintain general ledgers; post monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals. 6.Perform analysis of all asset, liability, and operating activity; recommend necessary updates or modifications as warranted. 7.Process AP by matching purchase orders with vendor invoices, preparing checks/payments, and tracking bank account balances. 8.Process AR by scanning and depositing checks, coordinating bank deposits, and reporting financial results. 9.Oversee payroll preparation, processing, and payroll and related taxes. 10.Calculate and prepare quarterly and monthly tax returns, along with payroll, operating, and business taxes. 11.Run and analyze monthly financial statements, including cash flow, P&L, trial balance, income statements, and balance sheets. 12.Contribute to the team effort and company profitability.
Highly qualified candidates will possess most or all of the following: • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting • 3 to 5 years' experience working in general ledger, AP, AR, payroll, and financial reporting • Merger and acquisition experience, preferred • Knowledge of bookkeeping and income tax worksheets • Knowledge of payroll processing • Experience using Great Plains, preferred • Experience using Microsoft Office suite of products, including Excel • Experience filing tax returns on state websites • Experience with multi-state entities a plus • Ability to communicate professionally, with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills • Accurate with a commitment to excellence, integrity, and confidentiality
