The Rutgers University, School of Nursing invites applications for a nursing Pediatric faculty position teaching didactic courses and clinical practica as well as teaching and advising students across the Newark and New Brunswick campuses. Reporting to the Associate Dean, Entry to Baccalaureate Practice, the successful Faculty member in Pediatrics, will teach and mentor students in clinical and classroom settings, advise students, collaborate with nursing colleagues and colleagues from other disciplines, maintain active involvement in professional organizations, maintain scholarship in their field, and participate in School of Nursing faculty governance. The positon is primarily in the undergraduate program but the candidate may be expected to teach courses across the curriculum.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Ability to teach and produce intellectual contributions in Pediatric Nursing in undergraduate courses * Administrative duties may include program recruitment, student advisement and mentorship, and periodic curricular review and updates. * Willingness to teach other areas of nursing, i.e. foundations, health assessment, and leadership when needed

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
* Doctoral degree (PhD or DNP) required, Doctoral program in progress may be considered * Expertise and experience in nursing/pediatric, * Teaching experience with baccalaureate nursing students

* Current Licensure or eligibility for RN Licensure in New Jersey
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* National certification in specialty area of pediatric focus. * Preference will be provided to candidates who demonstrate scholarship (e.g., publications, national presentations) and active participation in community and/or professional organizations
