We are currently seeking a dynamic, highly skilled, and self-motivated Permanent Attorney with a strong background in litigation to join our esteemed legal team. This role is perfect for a professional who thrives in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment, and who is adept at managing multiple cases simultaneously. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in insurance defense litigation and a comprehensive understanding of insurance coverage law. As our Permanent Attorney, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
1. Managing a caseload of complex insurance defense cases, from inception through trial or resolution. 2. Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and responses. 3. Conducting and managing discovery, including taking and defending depositions. 4. Representing clients in court proceedings, including pre-trial hearings, trial, and post-trial motions. 5. Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients. 6. Conducting thorough legal research and analysis to advise clients on potential litigation risks and strategies. 7. Collaborating with our legal team to develop effective case strategies. 8. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Colorado state bar regulations and insurance coverage law.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school. 2. Admission to the Colorado State Bar and in good standing. 3. A minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance defense litigation. 4. Demonstrated proficiency in insurance coverage law. 5. Exceptional litigation skills, including experience with trials, hearings, and depositions. 6. Excellent written and oral communication skills. 7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 8. Ability to manage a large caseload and work independently. 9. Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting. 10. High ethical standards and professional integrity.
