Corporate Controller will manage the financial operations and ensure accurate financial reporting, effective internal controls and compliance with financial regulations. This role will manage a team of accounting professionals and work closely with other departments to support financial decision-making, budgting and strategic planning. Corporate Controller is required to have strong leadership skills, attention to detail and a deep understand of the automotive business model. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred Corporate Controller experience minimum of 2 years Strong leadership and motivation skills Detail oriented Outstanding communication skills, written and oral Professional appearance/disposition Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong technical skills in accounting Well organized Proficient in Excel Tekion/ADP experience preferred DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for overseeing all O’GARA’s accounting matters Accurate and timely financial reporting and forecasting for O’GARA Establish and monitor internal control structure Responsible for cash management and reporting at O’GARA Responsible for preparing and transmitting Factory Statements Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations Oversee and maintain accounting for other departments Review all scheduled accounts monthly Balance Sales Delivery Log vs. Financial Statements Wholesale transaction & Inventory supply monitoring Review and approve general journal entries Prepare and post standard journal entries Ensure staffing of accounting and support positions are in place Sales, payroll, and other tax returns and payments with annual audits Dealer License and other license renewals DMS maintenance of chart of accounts, schedules, and accounting setups Review expense trends and propose monthly accruals, identify savings opportunities Liaison for O’GARA’s General Managers and support CFO for store-level matters Establish and monitor adherence to monthly closing deadlines Approving invoices by delegation of authority Approval of new vendors and customer charge accounts Oversee payroll functions, create and implement policies and procedures Liaising with the corporate attorney Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, and maintaining records Any other duties as assigned by supervisor
