The Huntington Securities, Inc. (HSI) Broker Dealer Operations Analyst II is responsible for supporting institutional broker dealer operations including collateral management, asset movement, trade settlement, municipal bond underwriting, regulatory reporting, and Equity Capital Markets. In this dynamic team environment, you will maintain detailed knowledge of broker dealer operations and organizational policies and procedures. Additionally, you may participate in special projects to drive process improvement.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide operational support for To Be Announced (TBA) securities including monitoring ongoing collateral requirements, trade settlement, and asset movements Provide operational support for municipal bond underwriting Provide operational support for Equity Capital Markets deals, such as Buybacks and ATMs Support DVP trade settlement process for unmatched trades/trade rejects Reconcile and validate MSRB and TRACE regulatory trade reporting Complete assigned regulatory trade reporting Prepares procedures and job aide, ad hoc reports requested within business line Work with audit or risk colleagues to provide information and test internal controls Assist in the training of new colleagues on any/all functions; performs quality checks on completed work Performs other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent 1 or more years of brokerage/investment operations or comparable experience Must be able to obtain FINRA SIE and Series 99 within 6 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely securities trade and settlement processing Resolve operational or trading issues by coordinating with other departments and external parties Complete in-depth investigations for all trade exceptions, both internally and with a clearing firm, to create timely resolutions Monitor failed trades and work with counterparties to reduce failed trades Experience working with mortgage products, including TBA and Pools Monitor life cycle of MBS Securities Oversee successful settlement of DTCC, FICC and Fedwire trades Manage daily margin activity and collateral exchange Experience with regulatory trade reporting 2+ years of experience in securities operations, trade processing or settlements Knowledge of securities regulations, compliance, and industry standards. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; adaptive to change Ability to create and foster strong partnerships with business partners and work well in a team environment FINRA SIE and Series 7 Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
