Salary:
$122,277 to $150,051
Job Summary: The Data Scientist will provide advanced analytical support for the OAAM, conducting complex data analysis, building predictive models, and developing analytical solutions to optimize OAAM’s data-driven decision-making processes. This role requires expertise in data science and analytics within federal grant environments. Key Responsibilities: Data Analysis & Modeling:
Develop custom analytics, predictive statistical models, and risk-based decision tools to enhance OAAM’s grants management and oversight capabilities. Data Management:
Extract, clean, and integrate data from diverse sources; utilize advanced tools and programming (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Tableau) to transform data for analysis. Machine Learning & Statistical Techniques:
Implement advanced machine learning algorithms, statistical methods, and artificial intelligence techniques to generate actionable insights and forecast risks. Data Governance:
Maintain data integrity, accuracy, and security; design data governance policies to ensure data quality and accessibility for analysis. Collaboration & Reporting:
Work closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to develop data visualizations, dashboards, and reports that communicate insights to non-technical audiences effectively. Qualifications: Education:
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Experience:
At least 10 years of experience in data science and analytics, with a strong focus on federal grants or public sector analytics projects. Technical Skills:
Proficiency in data science tools and programming (e.g., Python, R, SQL, AWS, Tableau) and experience in both small and large data environments. Clearance Requirement: Moderate Background Investigation (MBI): Personnel assigned to work on the task order for OAAM must obtain and maintain an MBI clearance level, as required to access the Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of Justice Programs (OJP) systems. Salary Range:
