S 3 , Inc. is seeking a Director of Finance to join our Corporate Business Operations team at our corporate HQ in Cummings Research Park, Huntsville, AL. This is not a teleworking position. The duty site is 615 Discovery Drive, Huntsville, AL 35806.
Military experience is a plus, whereas other requirements are also present. Seniors interested in returning to work are encouraged to apply.
This position warrants a $10,000.00 Hire-In Bonus, payable upon successful completion of a 90-day probationary period of performance.
Description:
Responsible for the direct management of the Financial Analysis staff engaged in various financial functions such as budgeting, compliance, auditing, forecasting and analysis, and senior leadership presentations.
Acts as a liaison with management regarding rate and budget questions, analysis, financial reports, planning, BS/CF, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Ensures compliance with internal procedures, DAR/FAR government regulations, Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR), and CAS compliance.
Is the primary liaison between the company and various government agencies during audits, ensuring understanding of financial data, methodology and, applicability under appropriate government regulations, and CAS compliance.
Preside over the calculation of indirect corporate burden rates for each subsidiary.
Responsible for the employment, training, motivation and discipline of direct reports.
This is an on-site role. No hybrid/remote options are available.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
CPA or CMA (or CPA/CMA-candidacy) is required.
Minimum of 20 years of experience in financial analysis including supervision/management experience and a working knowledge of DAR/FAR.
Expert-level mastery of Deltek Costpoint. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience, including multi-company Costpoint experience.
Mastery of Microsoft Office suite at a minimum of level 4 of 5.
At least 3 years of experience as a Director of Finance for a federal contractor performing technical services (not a product OEM).
Professional-level knowledge of GAAP, DCAA, and CAS/CASB principles.
Professional-level knowledge of Finance, Planning, Analysis, Reconciliations, and Consolidations.
Experience working with government contracts.
Experience calculating corporate rates, such as indirect burden rates, forward pricing rates, and provisional billing rates for multiple subsidiaries - CONUS and OCONUS.
Experience working for a government services contractor in a finance capacity for at least 8 years.
Experience preparing and submitting an ICE (Incurred Cost Submissions) for a company with over $50M in revenue.
Experience preparing and briefing corporate financial statements, including PL, BS, CF, Ratios, AP, AR, and financial covenants.
Minimum of 3 years of experience reconciling GL accounts and preparing the necessary adjusting journal entries in Costpoint.
Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Quickbooks.
Minimum of 4 years of experience working with corporate subsidiaries.
