The Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) is a licensed mental health professional who provides therapy to couples, families, and individuals. The MFT uses a variety of techniques to help clients improve their communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide individual, couples, and family therapy to clients with a variety of mental health needs, such as depression, anxiety, marital conflict, and child behavior problems.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that are tailored to the individual needs of each client.
- Conduct assessments of client needs and progress.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers.
- Provide education and support to clients and their families.
- Maintain accurate records of client care.
- Participate in professional development activities.
- Master's degree in marriage and family therapy from an accredited program.
- Licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience providing therapy to couples, families, and individuals.
- Strong clinical skills and judgment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
