We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a leading engineering consulting firm. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in all phases of the design process, from initial conceptualization to the development of construction documentation, contributing to innovative solutions in power systems for industrial facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop criteria, perform computations/analyses, and prepare specifications, drawings, cost estimates, and technical reports for power systems.
- Address complex power system challenges by applying advanced engineering principles and techniques.
- Draft, review, and finalize project technical specifications to ensure adherence to quality and performance standards.
- Conduct technical quality reviews to verify compliance with industry codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NFPA, IEEE, ANSI).
- Collaborate with designers and drafters to create electrical systems that meet client requirements and align with established codes and standards.
- Perform site visits to evaluate and document existing electrical systems.
- Design and draft one-line diagrams, electrical room layouts, raceway and wiring layouts, and associated schedules.
- Develop lighting and grounding system designs tailored to specific facility needs.
- Specify and select electrical equipment such as switchgear, transformers, motor control centers (MCCs), and power panels.
- Perform power system analysis using tools like Easy Power or SKM.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically in industrial system design.
- Proficiency in designing and analyzing power systems, including hands-on experience with electrical engineering software (Easy Power, SKM).
- Solid understanding of industry codes, regulations, and construction methods.
- Knowledge of industrial systems, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and facility layouts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Team-oriented with a focus on collaboration and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
