Sweater Designer (Women's Contemporary)

Our client is a chic and elevated women's contemporary brand
Sweater Designer Responsibilities:
• Oversee sweater design and development of four seasonal collections and any exclusive collections or collaborations from initial sketches/yarn sourcing to final garment.
• Lead development fit sessions on live models and fit forms, provide recommendations, note call-outs, and log critiques to accurately and efficiently address all issues.
• Create and manage seasonal development calendar from concept to SMS.
• Maintain development linesheet/WIP.
• Manage the allocation of styles, techniques, yarns with factories.
• Attend and actively participate in regular internal meetings with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and address technical concerns.
• Partner with and support production team in production fittings and problem solving.
• Identify and resolve issues related to samples, construction, stitch, tension, wash, yarns and trims; communicate effectively with the Product Development Manager and Raw Materials team.
• Work closely with PD/RM to keep BOMs updated throughout development life cycle.
• Communicate clearly with RM team on materials procurement.
Sweater Designer Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Fashion or Art (or equivalent experience and education).
• 5+ years of experience in a knitwear role with a strong background in technical execution and process management.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Adobe suite and Microsoft Office; PLM experience preferred.
• A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for personal and company growth.
