A clinically competent Registered Nurse (RN) who is a professional member of the surgical team within the organizational structure of the Surgical Services Department. All PACU RN's are expected to maintain proficiency in planning, organizing, directing, executing and evaluating all aspects of patient care during the pre-operative and post-operative phases of surgical experience. The RN is responsible for monitoring physiological patient responses in all phases of pre and post-operative care. Professional nursing staff are expected to attain knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practice following professional practice standards and guidelines, relevant statutes, rules and regulations. All RN's are expected to complete training, education, and orientation to new procedures and processes within the department and throughout the organization. Job Requirements

Three to four 10-hour shifts per week with call (1-2 days call per week and 1 weekend every 4 weeks) Additional Details
Housing Reimbursement - at the end of the successfully completed assignment, the nurse can submit receipts for the cost of housing in Gunnison while on assignment and GVH will pay for up to $600 per month for the length of the assignment. Please note rural Gunnison does not have public transportation which will require the traveler to have access to a reliable source of transportation.
