Your Role
As a Gensler
Designer
your job is to combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. You have exceptional design skills, a background in architecture or design, and a portfolio of innovative design concepts. With you as part of the design team, interiors have never been so engaging.
What You Will Do
Perform interior design assignments that include programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning and construction documentation. Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting Generate finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction. Provide design support and documentation during completion and execution of design concepts Work with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators Our studio focuses on a broad range of project types such as Tech, Financial Service, Professional Service and Sports Workplaces, as well as Healthcare, Life science, Building Repositioning and Strategy Consulting.
Your Qualifications
Effective Communication amongst internal team members, consultants, vendors and clients. Self-motivated, passionate, and collaborative attitude Bachelor's degree in interior design or related field from an accredited school 5+ years of interior design experience Proficient in Revit, SketchUp, Enscape, and other modeling software programs. Able to learn new software and interest in adapting innovative technologies to existing processes. Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices required; Portfolios should include at least 1 project with this particular focus, and candidates should be prepared to talk to this in their interview, specially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwel and /or Net Zero Building certification. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) Strong knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications Exceptional graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design intent
*This is not a remote position. This position is expected to be in the office full-time.
*The base salary will be estimated between $95,000 - $115,000 annually plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
