JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the Surveillance department. Ensure surveillance of all operations is being adequately handled in and around the property.

JOB FOCUS:

Focus is on, but not limited to the following:

Works effectively with all departments assuring efficient surveillance support service is provided when needed.

Prepares annual budget and operation forecast; prepares regular and special reports; maintains necessary records and files.

Directs the overall management of the monitor room.

Oversees and/or approves changes in the department, including hiring, promotion, demotion, and termination of personnel.

Ensures the validity of surveillance operations and conduct of the table games, slot machines, casino cage, and audio/video taping of activities in the count rooms.

Responsible for detection of cheating, theft, embezzlement, and other illegal activities in the casino, count rooms, slot booths, and cashier’s cage.

Responsible for ensuring accurate and verifiable information regarding surveillance is communicated in written form.

Communicates with and notifies appropriate management and authority upon the detection and taping of cheating, theft, embezzlement, or other illegal activities.

Encourages coordination between shift supervisors and related report/recordkeeping functions between shifts.

Schedules Team Member work hours.

Establishes and maintains a progressive and empowered workforce. Trains, counsels, and coaches assigned personnel in the performance of their duties.

Prepares and presents Performance Appraisal Reviews.

Maintains professional skills by staying abreast of current technical developments and participation in developmental programs available within and outside the company.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Five (5) years’ experience in Gaming Surveillance.

Two (2) years must be in a supervisory/management capacity within Gaming Surveillance.

Knowledge of Nevada Gaming regulations.

A strong background in law enforcement and gaming, with demonstrated business, communication, organization, and leadership skills.

Extensive knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations impacting gaming.

Proven relationship with law enforcement, gaming control authorities, and agencies affecting the casino industry.

Previous experience working Table Games Operations.

A valid Nevada Gaming license is required and must be obtained before entering this position.

Must be 21 years of age or older.
