Primary Responsibilities:

  • Establish effective communication with suppliers, customers, and government quality assurance representatives.
  • Support and interface with the supplier base, conducting supplier quality functions for aerospace and defense manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with various teams to resolve supplier issues and conduct supplier quality audits/assessments.
  • Analyze measures to track supplier performance and participate in supplier/subcontractor selection and oversight.
  • Review supplier inspection/test documentation and stay current on changes affecting supply and demand of products and materials.
  • Collaborate with other teams to develop process knowledge and validate process capabilities across product commodities.
  • Support Supplier Quality Analysts in supplier vetting, GIDEP Alerts, and other technical matters.
  • Perform other quality-related tasks as directed by management.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 8-12 years of prior relevant work experience, or a Master's degree with 6-10 years of prior relevant work experience in a Manufacturing Environment and 5 years in Supplier Quality Engineering under an AS9100 or other stringent QMS.
  • Extensive experience working with non-conforming material and conducting supplier audits and assessments.
  • Active problem-solving skills, ability to read and interpret blueprints/schematics, and strong personal organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and travel up to 25% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with multiple standards and methods as specified on contracts and drawings, and working knowledge of assembly, integration, and testing.
  • Working knowledge of one or more special processes such as paint, welding, chem film / anodize, heat treat, and counterfeit material.

Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance.
