Senior Full-Stack Engineer

Salary Range: $130,000-$190,000 base plus 0.1% – 0.25% equity.

Role responsibilities:

1. Architect and develop software solutions that leverages AI technology (LLM) to reimagine traditional bookkeeping and finance processes.
2. Collaborate with fellow founding team members to define our clients' vision, strategy, and product roadmap.
3. Build and manage the technical infrastructure required to support services, including databases, servers, and APIs.
4. Ensure the security, privacy, and compliance of technology and data.
5. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and finance to continually improve product offerings.
6. Lead and mentor a team of engineers, data scientists, and developers as the startup grows.
7. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and drive user adoption.

Candidate requirements:

• 5+ years of experience building web applications using javascript/typescript and frameworks such as Express.js/Next.js
• 5+ years experience in working with relational databases such as MySQL or Postgres
• Experience in working with event-driven applications and async I/Os
• Track record of deploying clean code and clean architecture (Github profile or portfolio links please!)
• Passion for and experience in developing and improving customer-facing products

Nice-to-haves:

• Previously worked in a startup with less than 15 engineers
• Previous founder / founding engineer experience
• Experience in building LLM applications using OpenAI API and vector databases
• Interested in accounting and finance
