InnoTECH Staffing is looking to hire a Senior Electrical Hardware Engineer for an exciting and fast-paced start-up in the Boston area. This does require being in the office onsite multiple days a week.
As the Senior Electrical Hardware Engineer, you should have hands-on design experience in complex PCBs and tooling used for validation and testing of custom PCB assemblies. This role also requires experience with semiconductor testing for custom Mixed Signal ASICs, including specifying test hardware and defining test methodology based on ASIC specifications.

This is an on-site role at the Boston office, requiring in-person attendance multiple days a week.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot circuit issues in existing designs and issues from manufacturing processes.
- Define and implement manufacturing and test processes for PCBA sub-systems.
- Design, verify, and characterize PCBs and fixtures for the PCBA tester systems and report the results in a presentable manner.
- Troubleshoot tester hardware and software issues to resolve, analyze, and improve prototype and production yields.
- Implement and optimize test setups and processes at Contract Manufacturing sites including identification, specification, design, and qualification of test fixtures, test equipment, and diagnostic software.
- Specify, procure, and maintain Electrical Test laboratory equipment.
Qualifications:
- BS degree with 7+ years, MS degree with 5+ years of industry experience in hardware development and test.
- Proven track record of system and subsystem electrical test for complex electronic assemblies.
- Experience with PCB design tools: schematic, layout, simulation - Altium, KiCad or similar.
- Experience with analyzing and debugging PCB assemblies on the bench including signal integrity and power integrity analysis.
- Experience designing and building test fixtures and complex test systems.
- Demonstrated hands-on practical knowledge in a test development environment.
- Experience with using Electrical Test and Measurement instrumentation: oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, precision voltage and current sources, filters, etc.
- Experience with running and maintaining an Electrical Test Laboratory.
- Familiarity with FPGA/ Verilog and Python.
- Familiarity with Wafer manufacturing.
Additional desirable skills:
- Experience with Quality Control Systems and documentation is a plus.
- Familiarity with industry standard system quality standards, CE, UL, ISO, FCC and others is a plus.
- Experience with industry standard system USB debug interfaces like FTDI or similar is a plus.
- Proficiency with Python, C/C++, MATLAB, VBA, etc. is a plus.
- Experience releasing a product to overseas manufacturing (travel is possible).

Salary Range:
$155,000 - $165,000
