NVIDIA’s Networking BU group is seeking to hire an excellent Senior Firmware Engineer to join the GPU networking (NVLink) FW group. As a Senior Engineer, you will be taking part in designing, implementing, and leading major development firmware features, delivering the next-generation GPU networking products. The Firmware team develops brand-new networking features for GPU data transfer protocols. We drive the data growth of the world’s biggest companies. What you will be doing:

  1. Collaborate with architecture and different software design teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  2. Design and implement new features in the core of NVIDIA GPU firmware.
  3. Work in Pre & Post-silicon development environments of next-generation NVIDIA GPU products.
  4. Gain a deep understanding of system debugging, networking technology, and stacks, as well as the HW/FW/SW relationship.
  5. Innovate! Bring NVIDIA’s FW switching products to shine in customer’s view.
  6. Collaborate with other NVIDIA R&D teams around the globe.

What we need to see:

  1. 12+ years of relevant professional experience.
  2. BS or MS in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering / Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  3. Proficient knowledge of C.
  4. Excellent understanding of embedded SW and real-time programming.
  5. Strong analytical, creative, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  6. Meticulous and comfortable with multitasking in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and changing requirements.
  7. Strong programming skills in Python.
  8. An excellent teammate with good social skills.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  1. Knowledge of network protocols.
  2. Assembly programming and debugging hands-on experience.
  3. Background in Linux internals.
  4. Scripting abilities (Python, Bash).
  5. Motivation to learn and constantly improve processes and tools.

The base salary range is 180,000 USD - 339,250 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
