  • JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
    • The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), under the direction of the Registered Nurse, is accountable for providing safe, age-specific, direct and indirect patient care within the scope of practice of the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
  • DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
    • The Emergency Department provides care for patients with a wide variety of needs from non-critical to emergent medical conditions including emergent and urgent mental health care. All patients are welcome whether walking in or arriving by emergency transport. All Emergency Department staff are certified to care for critical cardiac and trauma patients including children.
  • EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
    • Current unencumbered Oregon LPN Licensure required.
    • Healthcare Provider Level BLS required.

Basic understanding of age-related differences in caring for and/or communicating with patients and caregivers.     • Compliance: Ability to evaluate information to determine compliance with laws, regulations, or standards. Use knowledge and judgment skills to determine whether events or processes comply.

    • Team Building: Ability to work, function and communicate on a multi-disciplinary team. Possess the knowledge and skills to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.
