SUMMARY
This School of Education Placement and Communications Coordinator position supports the work of the School of Education by carrying out key administrative and communication duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES are below. Other duties may be assigned.
- Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Placements for the School of Education to provide administrative and procedural support related to clinical placements in all undergraduate programs. This includes assisting in securing placements, developing and maintaining relationships with partners in the P-12 field, and maintaining records for the university.
- Monitor student eligibility, field clearance, and time requirements for clinical placements.
- Collect, process, sort, and organize School of Education program data.
- Assist in maintaining and updating the School of Education website.
- Assist in planning/coordinating School of Education events and activities
- Additional projects and duties as assigned by the Dean.
- Assist Dean and directors in managing School of Education marketing to internal and external stakeholders, including recruitment of new students (coordinating with Calvin Communications and Marketing office).
- Serve in the School of Education administrative office by answering questions and providing pertinent information to students, parents, faculty, alumni, and staff.
- Use the university software and databases to manage all academic records pertinent to this role.
- Process Calvin University sponsored Michigan Teacher Certification State Continuing Education Clock Hours (SCECHs).

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not supervise other staff members; however, this position may include supervision of student workers.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
A bachelor's degree, experience in education, and administrative experience are preferred.
