Overview
The Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) plays a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of the organization. This executive position is responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the overall financial health of the company. The CAO will lead a team of accounting professionals and collaborate with other departments to drive financial performance and strategic decision-making.

Duties

  1. Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and tax compliance.
  2. Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) regulations and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  3. Prepare and present accurate financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  4. Manage corporate finance activities including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  5. Implement cost accounting practices to monitor and control costs effectively.
  6. Develop strategies for revenue management to maximize profitability.
  7. Lead tax accounting efforts to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  8. Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and ensure timely resolution of any issues.
  9. Provide guidance on financial decision-making processes across the organization.

Skills

  1. Strong knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls.
  2. Proficient in financial report writing with an ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
  3. Expertise in tax accounting principles and practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $149,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  2. Monday to Friday
