AACC is a tenure-granting institution. Any candidate hired as a full-time faculty member may be eligible to apply for tenure in the future based on institutional eligibility requirements. AACC offers daytime, evening, weekend, hybrid and online classes. Full-time faculty contracts begin Aug. 16 and end June 15 Pay dates occur on the 7th and 22nd of each month. Key Responsibilities Anne Arundel Community College is seeking a strong candidate to teach in the Cybersecurity, Networking, and Digital Forensics department. Experience in Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure, etc.), Linux/Unix/Red Hat Server Administration/OpenShift, Windows Server Administration, Virtualization, TCP/IP Networking is highly preferable for this position. Additionally, Information Assurance and Cybersecurity, and/or Network Defense, Penetration Testing, Intrusion Detection are also preferred. Candidates should be committed to student-centered, outcomes-based education with experience incorporating multiple instructional strategies and the use of technology in teaching and learning. Candidates must remain current on their discipline as well as on effective teaching and learning practices that promote equity and inclusion for underrepresented groups in technology. Teaching assignments are 15 faculty load hours per semester. The selected candidate will work with other faculty in the department on maintaining the curriculum, facilitate student experiences, serve on department and institutional committees, and accept any special assignments that further the mission of AACC. Additionally, candidates should be proven team-players with an ongoing commitment to personal and professional development as well as the ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body. Mentoring students from target groups; new full-time or part-time faculty 2. Designing, formatting and delivering curriculum for all learning modalities 3. Training and consulting for workforce initiatives (e.g., for public and corporate partners, etc.) 4. Developing and implementing community education and extended learning programs 5. Partnering with colleagues to enhance services to students and the community 6. Recruiting and marketing 7. Devising retention strategies and activities 8. Establishing and strengthening relationships and collaborative activities with K-12 and baccalaureate-granting colleges Required Qualifications: Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or institution in a closely relevant field Three or more years of professional experience and hands-on technical background in one or more of the following fields: Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure, etc.) Linux/Unix/Red Hat Server Administration/OpenShift Windows Server Administration Virtualization TCP/IP Networking Preferred Qualifications: One or more of the following industry certifications: AWS Cloud Certifications, CCNA, CCNP, Security, CEH, CISSP, ACE, GCFE/GCFA or CCE (or similar technology related certification). Knowledge of Information Assurance and Cybersecurity, Network Defense, PenTesting, and Intrusion Detection. Combination of industry and instructional experience; Two years of teaching experience, preferably in community college setting; Experience with curriculum development and learning outcomes assessment
