JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Performs the duties of Pharmacist as prescribed by state and federal statutes as well as SHS policies. Prepares and dispenses medication; assesses clinical status of patients (neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics). Provides drug information to the medical team. Educates patients.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

Current unencumbered Oregon Pharmacist Licensure required.

Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Computer Literacy - Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware, software, and applications. Ability to operate applications, enter data, and process information.

Basic understanding of age-related differences in caring for and/or communicating with patients and caregivers. Possess personal sensitivity to the needs and experiences of others and a non-judgmental attitude towards persons of differing standards, values, lifestyles and ages.
