Scope: Full time

Location: Israel, Beit HaEmek (working from the office)

The Head of Operations is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day operational functions of the Beewise Israel. This leadership role involves developing and executing strategies to enhance operational efficiency, improve productivity, reduce costs, and support the company's overall strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of being an effective leader, strong management skills, process optimization expertise, and the ability to drive change within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning & Leadership:
    • Develop and implement operational strategies to support company growth and scalability.
    • Lead cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvements across operations.
    • Identify new areas of activity and novel revenue streams for the company and its product line

2. Operational Efficiency & Process Optimization:
    • Oversee day-to-day company operations, managing all field functions of the operations team: supply chain, production, delivery, logistics, as well as field operations and support.
    • Manage the company's production plan and execution, monitor, upscale and adaptation of the product supply chain.
    • Manage customer service operation, final delivery to end customers, installation and onboarding of new customers and on-going maintenance.
    • Maintain reliable, timely, efficient, and competitive Beekeeping field operations
    • Facilitate ongoing communication with the Product, Research, and Development departments, effectively conveying operational needs and requirements to the entire company. Lead improvements and changes in the Product and Research departments based on operational feedback.
    • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall business performance.
    • Develop and enforce policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations and compliance with industry regulations and best practices.

3. Resource Management:
    • Oversee the allocation and management of resources (personnel, budget, equipment) across various operational functions.
    • Ensure that the company's operations are appropriately staffed, and that employees have the training and tools needed to succeed.
    • Manage vendor relationships, supply chains, and logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods/services.
    • Develop and manage operational budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficient use of company resources.
    • Work closely with the finance team to track operational spending, forecast future needs, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
    • Identify areas where cost efficiencies can be realized without compromising quality or service levels.

4. Risk Management & Compliance:
    • Identify operational risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
    • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards, as well as compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
    • Lead efforts in crisis management and business continuity planning.

5. Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational performance and continuously assess and report on these metrics.
    • Prepare regular reports for executive leadership, providing insights into operational performance, challenges, and improvement opportunities.


Qualifications & Skills:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
    • MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • 10+ years of experience in operations management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role
    • Proven experience in a start-up company of at least 3 years.
    • Proven track record in driving operational efficiency, process improvement, supply chain management and cost management.
    • Experience in management of a Turn-Key manufacturing supplier.
    • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and working closely with executive leadership.
    • Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools (ERP systems, CRM platforms, etc.).
