Description
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
- Perform account reconciliations for general ledger accounts, including bank and credit card accounts.
- Record and process journal entries for transactions, ensuring proper classification and coding of expenses and revenues.
- Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including reviewing invoices, ensuring timely payments, and managing collections.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analyses for management, including budget-to-actual comparisons and variance analysis.
- Support year-end audit and tax preparation activities by providing necessary documentation and reports.
- Help maintain the integrity of financial data by performing regular internal audits and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional international teams, including operations and marketing, to support accurate financial reporting and planning.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the luxury goods, retail, or fashion industry.
- Knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and strong understanding of financial statements.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well with internal teams and external partners.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for luxury goods and an interest in the fashion or lifestyle industry is a plus.
