Description Designing covers, jackets, mechanicals for all FSG imprints while supporting Creative Directors projects. What you'll do: Collaborates with the art director and editorial team to create original book designs, from concept to printer-ready files, within established budget and guidelines Design 6-8 titles across all FSG imprints including Picador Maintains schedules and meets deadlines on assigned projects Traffics the work of freelance designers, illustrators, and photographers What you'll bring: Graphic design skills and computer/technical knowledge for book production Strong understanding of typefaces and typography, design and complex page layout Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Goal oriented team player who can cultivate productive working relationships and the ability to work independently Proficiency in creative problem-solving, decision making, and time management Illustration skills, ability to create original artwork + Ideal experience: 3-5 years design experience, preferably in print design/publishing realm Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite CC: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat This role will have an annual salary of $70,000 - $73,000.
