Overview

LMI is seeking a skilled policy analyst in the Washington DC area to support our DHS client conduct an analysis of legislative authorities, executive orders, and policy and national level strategic drivers across a diverse set of laboratory missions.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:
  • Performing a detailed review of available legislation, executive orders, national level strategies;
  • Identifying and analyzing the drivers for laboratory research, develoment, and test and evaluation (RDT&E) missions;
  • Developing a report with graphics communicating key RDT&E drivers and activities within the laboratories;
  • Drafting, editing, coordinating and providing oversight reports, memorandums of record, briefings or other deliverables in support of requirements;
  • Developing and delivering briefings as required to provide the results of analysis performed;
  • Planning, coordinating and executing meetings in support of client milestone decisions and project status; and
  • Maintaining a current and accurate internal documentation library.


Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • At least three years of experience as management consultant (or one year with a Masters degree)
  • Experience supporting federal government clients is preferred but not required
  • Proficiency with the use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Visio, Teams, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of AI tools to support document content analysis
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external customers
  • Organization and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to pass a DHS background investigation
