The anticipated salary range for this role is between $225,000.00and $225,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.
Role Description
This is an origination role requiring specific knowledge of the lender finance market, competition, and financing structures. The team provides asset-based financing and a range of other financing products and services to developing corporations and asset managers which are leading lenders to US middle markets.
Role Objectives
Cover middle market loan asset managers in order to originate lender finance facilities. Maintain relationship with existing client base and cultivate new prospects to win financing mandates and provide market updates and advice to clients. Responsible for structuring and execution of new issue asset-based and warehouse lending facilities focusing on middle market loans, broadly syndicated loans and infrastructure loans. Work closely with syndication department and other fund financing business units to develop O&D opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills
At least 10 years of banking experience with at least 5 years of experience in lender finance. Expertise in structuring asset-based and warehouse facilities. Strong client relationships. Excellent credit and modelling skills. Experience executing transactions and negotiating documentation. Additional Requirements
