Primary Responsibilities: Conduct security and vulnerability assessments in high-threat areas in coordination with Federal, State, and Local partners as well as experience conducting the same assessments outside the US with foreign law enforcement partners and local officials. Manage a team of security professionals and lead multiple teams towards strategic goals across various locations. Physical security planning experience working with public and private partners. Ability to manage multiple projects with evolving deadlines through demonstrated leadership and strategic thinking. Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, analytical skills, and ability to lead teams across various experience levels in a coordinated manner towards strategic goals. Serve directly under the Vice President of Security for US Soccer with the ability to execute the responsibilities of that office as needed. Manage the day-to-day security operations under USSF. Work closely with the VP of Security to establish protocols and standard operating procedures across all of USSF. Liaison with the VP of Security and the CFO with the administration of the approved departmental budget. Serve as the USSF Security representative at USSF events as needed. Oversee all investigations involving USSF personnel, property, and other entities. Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of security professionals within USSF to ensure effective security oversight, performance, and adherence to USSF policies and procedures. Partner with law enforcement agencies to pursue legal action and ensure adequate law enforcement support for USSF events. Prepare regular reports for the VP of Security and executive leadership which summarize key performance metrics, incidents, and initiatives under the USSF security blanket. Oversee and implement surveillance systems, alarms, and other access control measures at USSF facilities. Serve as a close protection professional to the USSF executive leadership team and others as directed. Participate in and/or handle extremely sensitive or elevated risk threats. Implement strategies to mitigate threats and risks associated with security threats to USSF and employ effective threat management practices. Conduct and oversee investigations of potential or actual personnel misconduct involving policy violations, inappropriate conduct with potential criminal activity, evidence gathering, conduct interviews, and prepare investigative reports for the VP of Security. Minimum Qualifications: 10 years (or more) of security experience within the law enforcement, intelligence, public and private sector security experience increasing leadership/management responsibilities. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Experience working in fast-paced and demanding environments. Experience in formalizing standard operating procedures and logistical planning. General knowledge of soccer. Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, analytical skills, and ability to lead teams across various experience levels in a coordinated manner towards strategic goals. Must be able to connect "micro" details to the "macro" vision and mission. Experience conducting security and vulnerability assessments in high-threat areas in coordination with Federal, State, and Local partners as well as experience conducting the same assessments outside the US with foreign law enforcement partners and local officials. Extensive experience conducting multifaceted investigations. Experience in managing a team of security professionals and ability to lead multiple teams towards strategic goals across various locations. Proficient experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook). Desired Qualifications: Advanced degree in a related field. Five years (or more) of clinical experience working within soccer or another elite sport. Former Federal Law Enforcement. General knowledge of soccer. LEOSA Credential.
