SUMMARY: ARRAY is seeking an energetic and creative Public Programming Outreach Coordinator to amplify and extend the impact of our public programs, initiatives, and community engagement efforts. This role is ideal for someone passionate about storytelling, building community relationships, and creating compelling content to promote public events. Based at our Creative Campus in the Historic Filipinotown area of Los Angeles, you will work under the direction of the Senior Vice President of Public Programming to ensure our programs reach diverse audiences and generate lasting connections with the local community. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Storytelling & Content Coordinator:Use storytelling to amplify the impact and reach of ARRAY's public programs and initiatives. Develop engaging narratives for various outlets, ensuring they resonate with our audience and reflect the mission and values of the organization. Community Engagement:Build and nurture relationships with neighboring businesses and organizations within ARRAY's local communities as well as related industries. Actively stay in the know of community happenings and, at times, participate in community initiatives such as informational booths, neighborhood canvassing, and public meetings to engage with potential program attendees and partners. Outreach & Partnership Building:Identify potential local organizations, community groups, and businesses to collaborate with or cross-promote public programs. Build and maintain an outreach list to enhance community partnerships and extend ARRAY's visibility. Event Calendar & Newsletter Submissions:Submit public programs to relevant event calendars, newsletters, and online platforms to increase visibility and attendance. Media Outreach & Press Relations:Conduct media outreach and craft thoughtful press pitches to secure coverage for public programs. Photography & Videography Coordination:Create a shortlist of key photo and video opportunities during events and coordinate with the photography/videography team to ensure high-quality media coverage. Website Updates:Stay on top of updates to the website, ensuring that public program details are accurate, up-to-date, and reflective of current offerings. Social Media Collaboration:Collaborate with social media content creators to plan and execute social media campaigns. E-newsletter Production:Collaborate to create compelling e-newsletters that keep ARRAY's digital community informed about upcoming public programs and organizational updates. Event Wrap Reports & Impact Analysis:Contribute to the creation of post-event wrap reports that analyze program performance, share key metrics, and offer insights into the impact and effectiveness of the events. Archiving Communications & Creative Assets:Maintain a well-organized archive of all communications, media, and creative assets related to public programs. Ensure all materials are accessible for future use and in alignment with ARRAY's branding and messaging. Talent Communication:Collect and maintain files for guest bios, headshots and relevant film materials. Provide clear and timely communication to key talent attending public programs, including photo/video requests and media inquiries. Work with the SVP to ensure all talent is prepared and informed for their involvement in ARRAY public events. QUALIFICATIONS:
Must love films and have knowledge of filmmakers of all kinds as well as the film industry/community. A minimum of 2-4 years work experience preferably in a film festival, special events, TV/film production/studio, agency, non-profitor museumenvironment. Previous history of full-time work experience required. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for events. Solid strategic planning, organizational, and project management skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, superior presentation skills, and sound judgment. Proficiency in using digital tools for email campaigns, media outreach, and reporting (e.g., Mailchimp, Canva, Google Analytics, etc.). Solid understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, BlueSky) and content creation. Passion for building community, fostering partnerships, and creating inclusive cultural experiences. Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, creative, collaborative, and nimble environment. Comfortable with internal collaborations, communications and acting within part of the larger company team. Proactive, results oriented management of assigned projects.
