is seeking an experienced Food Service Director (Food Service General Manager 4) for our Dining Program at Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota. As the third largest city in the State of South Dakota, Aberdeen offers the charm of a small town with the amenities of a larger city.

lead strategic visioning for an innovative student dining experience,

and will be responsible for the successful coordination and direction of all daily activities related to the entire dining operation - including Student Resident Dining, Food Retail concepts, Catering and Concessions! Network with our other 5 GMs within Sodexo's SD University contracts! RELOCATION Assistance is available for this exciting opportunity! The Ideal Candidate will: Have

5 years of food operations management experience at

a General Manager level

in a university setting or other high-volume dining Be a people person with a strong focus on

maintaining positive client relations

and experience successfully mentoring and developing staff and teams Be customer and client focused, including providing quality dining options in a welcoming dining environment Have a demonstrated history of successful, diverse team leadership within a food service environment Be a solid leader who is

perceptive

and applies

attention to details that make a difference

in quality and presentation of food, while providing exceptional customer service Be proficient in use of on-line Food Management Systems for menu and recipe planning, ordering and inventory and financial reporting Demonstrate proven financial acumen and have demonstrated success managing food and labor costs and budgets Are You the One? The successful candidate will:

Engage in campus community events, activities, meetings. Maintain and extend solid partnership with our Client and key Stakeholders. Deliver high quality food service. Achieve company and client financial targets and goals. Develop and maintain client and customer relationships. Develop strategic plans, pro-active solutioning to solve problems or adjust strategies. Lead successful teams, mentoring them in accurate cash handling, operations, safety, open and closing processes.
