Senior Cardiac Sonographer
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Cardiac Sonographer to join our renowned medical team based in Berkeley, California. This role includes performing sophisticated echocardiographic ultrasound studies under the minimal supervision, interpreting data, and drafting preliminary reports. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining our standard of excellence in cardiovascular diagnostics.
Salary:
$165,000.00 - $205,000.00 per year Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform echocardiographic ultrasound studies on varied patient groups. Interpret acquired data and develop preliminary reports according to department procedures. Operate with minimal clinical supervision. Work alongside other sonographer staff to facilitate the completion of scheduled or ordered echocardiographic exams. Proficient in providing all clinical modalities offered in the Echo Lab. Contribute to the team dynamic through proactive communication, taking initiative, and maintaining high productivity levels. Minimum Position Qualifications: Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS). BLS - Basic Life Support Certification required. Completion/graduation from an approved cardiac sonographer training program. Flexible in scheduling; able to rotate shifts and provide weekend and holiday coverage across all medical center locations. At least one (1) year of post-graduate experience performing adult cardiac echocardiograms in a similar healthcare setting. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with congenital heart diseases and/or hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) patients. Experience in adult congenital, structural heart, heart and lung transplant, and advanced heart failure management. Familiarity with advanced therapies such as VAD, ECMO, TAVR, Mitra-Clip. Previous experience with EPIC EMR and Syngo Dynamics system. Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and simply. Detailed attention to imaging and diagnostic procedures. High level of proficiency in managing sophisticated diagnostic equipment. Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team. Adaptability to work in a dynamic environment where schedules and priorities may shift.
