Audit Director
with Uniform Guidance experience to join their dynamic team. As an Audit Director with Uniform Guidance Compliance experience within our accounting firm, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our clients' compliance with federal regulations governing the receipt and expenditure of federal funds. Your expertise will be instrumental in mitigating risks and ensuring our clients' continued eligibility for federal awards. Position Responsibilities:
Uniform Guidance Expertise: Stay abreast of federal regulations, policies, and guidance related to the Uniform Guidance, including updates and interpretations. Provide expert advice and guidance to our staff and clients on compliance matters, such as cost principles, allowable costs, and cost allocation. Training and Education: Develop and conduct training programs to educate our staff and clients on the Uniform Guidance and compliance requirements. Provide ongoing support and guidance to our staff and clients on compliance matters. Audit engagement consulting: Consult with audit engagement teams on compliance matters and questions. Assist in the development of audit workpapers and testing approaches to areas of compliance. Internal quality control reviews: Perform engagement quality control reviews on federal award compliance audits to help ensure audit quality. External consulting: Assist non-attest clients in preparing for federal audits, ensuring that their practices and records are in compliance with federal requirements. Identify and assess potential compliance risks associated with our clients' federal awards. Develop and recommend mitigation strategies to address identified risks and prevent non-compliance. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal grants management or accounting. Strong knowledge of the Uniform Guidance and federal regulations related to federal awards. Familiarity with compliance audit requirements. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Additional Skills (Preferred): Experience with federal grant accounting software. Experience with federal grant proposal development. $175,000 - $300,000 a year
The salary range for this opportunity is stated above. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range.
