Responsibilities
The Trade Finance Solutioning III
will be reporting directly to Director, Trade Finance. Work independently with general guidance from the Director, Trade Finance Manager. Covering trade finance products. Customize products to fit client needs. Partner with Commercial Bank and Product Advisors to define client needs and ensure existing products meet client needs and are competitive. Provide response to queries, sound advice, guidance and/or recommendations on trade finance matters in relation to interpretation of letter of credit terms and rules to internal and external clients in a timely, accurate and cost-effective manner. Provide visibility to clients on their trade finance activities and identify cross-selling opportunities. Work closely with compliance, Legal, and Credit Administration to address and resolve issues. Resolve and/or mitigate the risks in the Global Trade Finance products and services transactions. Perform and process Trade Financing duties. Apply the Compliance and Letter of Credit rules on the day to day transactions. Maintain current client relationships and independently handle less complex client issues. Assist in providing guidance to a more junior member of the team. Participate in departmental and bank wide initiatives and projects. Any additional tasks assigned by the manager. Working expertise and knowledge of the following: OFAC. Trade based Money Laundering. Department of Commerce Anti-Boycott Regulations. SWIFT. Uniform Customs and Practices for Documentary Credits (UCP600). International Standby Practices (ISP98). Uniform Rules for Collections (URC522). Uniform Rules for Bank to Bank Reimbursement (URR725). Uniform Rules for Bank Guarantees (URDG758). Uniform Commercial Code Article 5. Other compliance or trade related rules and regulations. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Trade Finance and financial services. Preferred Qualifications: Excellent leadership skills. Excellent customer service skills and relationship skills. Excellent multi-tasking and organization skills. Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills. Customer-focused with excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to communicate and influence at an appropriate level. Proactive and self-motivated with ability to work independently with minimal supervision and under tight deadlines. Proven ability to meet new challenges, assimilate new information and to influence people through maturity of approach. Ability to make sound and reliable decisions under supervision.
