Knowledge Management Specialist
to join our team on-site in Washington, DC. Our unique program provides information management and information technology (IT) support for critical technical work to operate and maintain the classified networks for executive-level government leaders. Our program delivers high-profile technical infrastructure support for our customer and its relative nodes over the world. The team provides Personnel Management, Systems Engineering and administration, Software Engineering (SharePoint Development and Project Management/Systems Integration support), and Facility Management (Voice/Video Network Integration and Engineering) solutions. The
Knowledge Management Specialist
will be responsible for but are not limited to: Recognized for in-depth knowledge of a specific product or families of knowledge management applications, products, and associated applications interface technologies. Utilizes technical area competencies to assess the operational and/or technical baseline of an organization as specifically associated with its functional components. Utilizes technical area competencies with knowledge management products and tools such as Portal Technologies, Database Technologies, Operating Systems, and Programming Languages. Works with information technology professionals to provide insight and advice to senior managers and executives concerning the strategic direction and applicability of knowledge management techniques and products. Assumes a lead role in contributing to the development of standards and best practices surrounding the use of knowledge management techniques and applications. Provides technical insight into the determination of technical inadequacies and/or deficiencies that affect the functional area's ability to support/meet organizational knowledge management goals and generates technical strategies for enhanced knowledge management operations, as well as ways to improve productivity across functional areas within the organization. Participates in technical assessments and reviews to validate the technical approach and associated work products for knowledge management implementations. Provides guidance and direction to other professionals, acts in a consulting and/or advisory capacity; coordinates resolution of highly complex problems and tasks, possesses ability to meet and operate under deadlines. Conduct activities related to the knowledge management processes, including but not limited to: Content analysis, document management, data capture, portals, work-flow, collaboration, data warehousing, decision support, information dissemination. Planning to encompass the strategy, architecture, and methodology for an enterprise modernization effort. Selection, implementation, and measure of packaged solutions for enterprise modernization. Complete integration of applications with target data and defined processes. This role requires 100% on-site support M-F All contractor personnel supporting this program are considered mission essential, emergency mission essential, and weather emergency essential. Qualifications
Required Qualifications: An Active TS/SCI security clearance. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or Mathematics and eight (8) years of relevant experience; or a Master's Degree and six (6) years of relevant experience; or a PhD and three (3) years of relevant experience; or an Associate's Degree and 10 years of relevant experience; or 12 years of directly related experience with a High-school Diploma/GED may be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree. Demonstrated experience in knowledge management processes, including but not limited to: Content analysis, document management, data capture, portals, work-flow, collaboration, data warehousing, decision support, information dissemination. Planning to encompass the strategy, architecture, and methodology for an enterprise modernization effort. Selection, implementation, and measure of packaged solutions for enterprise modernization. Complete integration of applications with target data and defined processes. Possesses significant experience with knowledge management products and tools such as Portal Technologies, Database Technologies, Operating Systems, and Programming Languages. Expert working experience with Microsoft SharePoint. Desired Qualifications: Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or Mathematics and six (6) years of relevant experience is preferred. Possesses at least 10 years of experience in knowledge management processes, including but are not limited to: Content analysis, document management, data capture, portals, work-flow, collaboration, data warehousing, decision support, information dissemination. Planning to encompass the strategy, architecture, and methodology for an enterprise modernization effort. Selection, implementation, and measure of packaged solutions for enterprise modernization. Complete integration of applications with target data and defined processes. Prior Service U.S. Military, Current U.S. Military Reservist, or U.S. Military National Guards. Prior experience and or historical and institutional knowledge of the customer mission and programs and processes. $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
