Job description and duties:
Design and implement computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks.
Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning.
Lead the design of network and computer security measures.
Research and provide recommendations affecting network and data communications hardware and software.
Evaluate, develop, and deliver technical input to the systems engineering process.
Develop technical documentation, system architecture, and system design documentation.
Interact with the Government regarding systems engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
Oversee the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
Work with other program personnel such as engineers, developers, and testers.
Communicate with Government and other mission partners.
Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
Analyze complex information and independently take appropriate actions to resolve problems.
Provide engineering guidance to technical staff and establish effective working relationships with other Government agencies and mission partners.
Deliver briefings on complex topics to groups, which may include high-level decision makers.
Work on complex research projects as senior contributors and as part of an integrated research team.

Columbia, MD Qualifications: Possess an Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and Counterintelligence Polygraph. Minimum of 20 years of relevant experience. Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in System Engineering or related discipline. Exposure to Cloud/AWS. Knowledge of DoD Architecture Framework (DODAF). Able to build systems from the ground up – network architecture/systems engineering. Active CISSP, CASP+CE, CSSLP certification (minimum DoD 8570 IASAE Level II Certification).
