Summary:
At Reality Labs, we are focused on defining experiences in Augmented and Virtual Reality utilizing AI, finding new ways for people to connect and build communities and help people feel more present with each other even when we're apart. The Wearables team is building new devices and software platforms with work spanning a number of breakthrough technologies, ranging from entertainment and gaming to education and beyond.
Required Skills:
Motion Designer, Wearables Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of animations for system-level components, ensuring a cohesive and high-quality visual experience across platforms.
Establish and maintain comprehensive motion design guidelines to ensure consistency and quality in all motion-related elements across the organization.
Drive the organizations point of view on motion design within a platform-level context, creating a unified and compelling motion language.
Collaborate closely with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Product Design, and Engineering teams to integrate motion design seamlessly into the overall user experience.
Conceptualize and create innovative animations and motion graphics that enhance the usability and delight of the platform.
Conduct regular reviews and refinements of motion design components based on feedback from stakeholders and team members.
Mentor and guide junior motion designers, providing feedback and fostering a culture of creativity and excellence.
Utilize generative AI tools and techniques to enhance motion design workflows and output.
Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and trends in motion design, animation, and generative AI.
Present motion design concepts, progress, and final deliverables to leadership and stakeholders, effectively communicating the vision and strategic direction.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Senior Motion Designer or in a similar role, with a portfolio showcasing high-quality animations and motion graphics.
At least 7 years of experience in motion design, with a focus on system-level components and platform-level contexts.
Proficiency in industry-standard motion design software, such as After Effects, Adobe Animate, Cinema 4D, or similar.
Experience with performant animation frameworks like Lottie, Rive, and others.
Experience to develop highly dynamic animated components within tight performance constraints.
Proven understanding of branding principles and the skill to maintain cohesiveness across all motion design elements.
Proven communication and interpersonal skills, with the experience to articulate creative concepts and provide constructive feedback.
Proven organizational and project management skills, with the experience to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Attention to detail and a keen eye for craft, quality, and usability.

$149,000/year to $205,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
