Sourcing Category Manager
to join our dynamic team. As a Sourcing Category Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing category strategies to drive growth and profitability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of these strategies while managing supplier relationships and optimizing category performance. Key Responsibilities:
Category Strategy Development
Develop comprehensive category strategies and plans that align with overall business objectives. Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of category strategies with company goals. Supplier Relationship Management
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to optimize cost and quality. Monitor supplier performance and drive business reviews for top tier suppliers and address any issues or concerns promptly. Drive supplier scorecards and utilization of supplier portal. Category Performance Optimization
Analyze category performance metrics and implement actions to improve profitability and market share. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements within the category. Work closely with business partners, legal, finance, and compliance to ensure seamless execution of category plans. Provide category insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes. Lead cross-functional projects related to category management initiatives. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of experience in category management, procurement, or a related role. Previous experience working in technology sector or SaaS is preferred. Proven track record of developing and executing successful category strategies. Strong negotiation and supplier management skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
