As a machine learning engineer on our team, you will play a key role in our development. You will have responsibilities ranging from model design, implementation, training, model iteration, researching and experimenting with new ideas and evaluation. You will apply pioneering generative AI and machine learning methods to continually advance Siri’s capabilities. Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on industry experience developing deep learning systems: training (and finetuning) models, designing model architectures, researching/experimenting with new ideas, defining and creating metrics, building datasets and performing error triages. Deep understanding of Generative AI techniques/literature and proven track record of training (or deploying) LLMs/MLLMs to solve complex problems. Proficiency in Python and one of the deep learning frameworks (such as PyTorch, JAX, or Tensorflow). Excellent communication: strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills. Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering or equivalent professional experience. Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated experience with building AI agents, LLMs for tool use, AudioLLMs and Multimodal-LLMs. Experience creating and maintaining large scale, robust machine learning systems and infrastructure for data, modeling and metrics for use in multi-person team setting. Experience developing, shipping and improving machine learning models in a production environment or a solid publication record in top-tier conferences like NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ICRA etc. Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
