MES Manager
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a seasoned Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Manager to oversee and enhance the implementation of our MES platform. In this pivotal role, you will act as the bridge between multiple departments, leveraging your deep knowledge in MES to maximize system efficiency, guide technical teams, and drive the adoption of new technologies to enhance organizational productivity.
Salary:
DOE per year Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as the primary expert on the MES platform, optimizing system utilization and performance. Collaborate closely with plant personnel to understand their needs and translate these into system requirements. Develop and conduct comprehensive training for users to ensure proficient and effective use of the MES platform. Oversee the integration of new system features, ensuring compatibility and efficiency across all levels of the organization. Prioritize and align system enhancements with broader organizational goals, fostering an environment of continuous improvement. Maintain oversight of system updates and enhancements, informing stakeholders proactively about changes. Work with IT and technical teams to ensure successful integration and performance of new functionalities within the MES. Provide strategic guidance to upper management on leveraging system capabilities to boost operational efficiency. Mentor and support manufacturing leaders in the adoption of new technologies and processes. Travel to various company facilities to oversee implementation and training, influencing project outcomes directly. Minimum Position Qualifications: Robust practical knowledge of various Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). Understanding of ISA88 batch processing frameworks, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and Statistical Process Control (SPC). Strong ability to communicate effectively across diverse groups and organizational levels. Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience in a technical discipline. At least two years of experience in a manufacturing setting, with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement and operational excellence. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with Ignition by Inductive Automation MES and other SCADA systems. Previous engagement with MES products from Aveva, Rockwell, or other renowned vendors. Proven project management capabilities with a track record of successful system integration. Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in database management and reporting systems. Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to mentor and inspire teams. Adaptability to change and proficiency in managing transitions.
