IFC’s Human Resources (HR) Department provides strategic partnership to the business to develop and implement workforce strategies. The HR department includes three Centers of Expertise (COEs) -- Strategy & Organizational Effectiveness, Global Talent Acquisition & Mobility, and Talent & Incentives – and two Client Services teams providing support to Head Quarter (HQ) and regions. The Strategy and Organizational Effectiveness unit is the backbone of the IFC HR function, driving the delivery of strategic initiatives across critical areas such as HR Transformation, organizational design, employee engagement, and strategic workforce planning. The team is seeking a Human Resources Officer to join the newly formed People Insights function in the HR department. Under the direction of the People Insights Lead, the incumbent will play a key role in elevating the analytical capacity of the department, by leading predictive/descriptive analysis across different HR programs in partnership with the subject matter experts and the community of analysts, using statistical methods, create power BI dashboards, support the development of reporting and analytical skills in the department, and communicate insights through engaging reports, presentations, and briefings. Duties and Accountabilities: • Apply your experience in Human Resources, quantitative analysis, data science and data visualization to add value to address HR business problems at the institutional level. • Lead the development of exploratory analysis and predictive models on topics such as attrition, quality of hire, retention, employee performance, pay equity, diversity and inclusion. • Provide data-driven recommendations for the delivery of the HR strategy. • Use your experience with database management/querying, data mining and statistical programming. • Partner with the corporate reporting and analytics team to lead the department's automation of reports. • Develop Power BI dashboards on HR data, incorporating advanced functionalities. • Communicate analyses and results, along with implications, to technical and non-technical audiences; providing recommendations on actionable items. • Provide advice and support as needed to different stakeholders in HR on how to leverage data and analytics for the introduction of data-driven approaches into their work programs. • Develop trainings, knowledge sharing sessions and on-the-job learning opportunities for the upskilling of people analytics’ capacity across all HR roles. • Develop and maintain an HR Analytics playbook. • Keep abreast of best practices and latest research on the people analytics space.
Selection Criteria • At least 5 years of relevant experience focused on analytics and/or HR, preferably in a global organization; private sector experience is an advantage. • Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Information Technology, Business Administration, Organizational/Industrial Psychology, Human Resources Management, or related field. • Advanced skills using a statistical computing language such as R (preferred), Python or Stata. Experience with HR systems and/or Business Intelligence tools is a plus. • Advanced skills using Power BI (preferred) or other data visualization tools (eg. Tableau, QlikView). • Advanced skills using Excel and PowerPoint. • Ability to analyze issues and present, explain and discuss results of analyses to effectively drive fact-based decision making within all levels of the organization. • Experience designing business reports and graphical presentations conveying analytical concepts, predictive data modeling and dashboard design. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of initiative and creativity. • Excellent team and collaborative skills across boundaries. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting work priorities and demands and to prioritize and manage delivery risks. • Excellent communication and presentation skills. • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and desire to work in teams in fast-paced work environments. • Demonstrate exceptional judgment and discretion when dealing with confidential HR data.
