We are looking for an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to join our team

locally in Scottsdale, AZ.

This role is a

hybrid

position requiring in-office work 2-3 days per week.

The Financial Reporting Manager primarily manages and performs activities related to all internal and external reporting, annual external audit, SEC filings, and other external financial and ad hoc reporting requirements. This position will ensure accurate financial reporting throughout the Company by collaborating with various departments at all levels of the organization.

Essential Functions for this Role:

Manages and prepares reports that include financial statements, footnotes and other financial information filed with, or furnished to, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) such as 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, proxy statements, registration statements and annual reports; and maintains related documentation. This includes overseeing the preparation and recording of eliminations for Caliber’s consolidated financial statements, and overseeing the tie-outs for all publicly filed information. Assists with the development, documentation and maintenance of Company processes and procedures and internal controls over financial reporting. Mentor, coach, and develop the team; define and align team goals with company priorities and values; build morale and motivation. Hold self and team accountable to maintaining established company standards (future state of role). Coordinates activities of external auditors and acts as a liaison with Company departments in obtaining information required by external auditors as part of quarterly reviews and annual external audit. Monitors current developments related to accounting standard setting bodies and remains current on technical accounting literature to identify/assess possible changes to accounting policies and practices. Examples include SEC, FASB, PCAOB, Technical Bulletins and other accounting policy and practice pronouncements. Researches, interprets and provides accounting guidance and support based on adopted interpretations and maintains related documentation, as necessary. Maintains and updates, as applicable, the Company’s accounting policy manuals. Provides training and accounting guidance to the Company’s accounting staff and other Company departments. Reviews reconciliations, roll forward and other schedules prepared by staff and other departments that support Company’s financial filings. Oversees the preparation of periodic investor reports in collaboration with the Company’s asset management team and the preparation of individual fund annual financial statements for audit and review. Be a Sage Intacct and Planful guru; drive process improvement and automation efforts to streamline financial reporting operations. Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

Ideal Qualifications Include:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Master’s degree preferred. 4+ years of public (Big 4 or Tier II National) accounting experience. Certified Public Accountant (CPA). 2+ years of public company industry experience in an External Reporting function that involves SEC disclosure and reporting, reconciliation, and accounting research. Experience with Workiva financial reporting software is a plus Strong analytical skills, efficient and self-motivated with the ability to recommend, develop, document, and implement process improvements across the organization Strong accounting research and technical problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, collaborative skills, and ability to partner with cross-functional teams. Ability to prioritize workloads, tasks, meet deadlines and respond to changing priorities in a dynamic and growth environment. Ability to partner with cross-functional groups and leaders to drive and influence business solutions. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to use best judgement to work through challenges Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under deadline pressure Ability to adapt to processes and deal with ambiguity Clear, effective oral and written communication skills are required, must be careful listener and clear communicator.

Physical Demands: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets. The team member frequently communicates with internal team members, investors and vendors. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a copy machine and printer. Occasionally moves items up to 50 lbs. for various projects.
