The NC A&T Real Estate Foundation is looking for an experienced leader for their Finance and Accounting Team for tax-exempt bond financing compliance, New Markets Tax Credit Compliance and leading best practices for commercial real estate accounting. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Managing Director of Finance directs financial policies, planning, reporting, and controls for the North Carolina A&T Real Estate Foundation, Inc. This position has overall responsibility for commercial real estate budgeting, accounting, financial reporting; financial planning, cash and investment management; ensuring adherence to financial control systems, audit preparation and management, and maintaining Bond Financing and NMTC compliance. Oversees all Foundation accounting staff including the Director of Accounting (Controller), Financial Manager, and Accountants. Primary Function of Organizational Unit: The mission of the Real Estate Foundation, Inc. is to support North Carolina A&T State University's quality environment of exemplary teaching and learning, scholarly and creative research and effective community engagement and public service through acquisitions, ownership, transfer, development, and management of real estate or real estate-related projects. The Real Estate Foundation offers office accommodations for University Relations, Alumni Relations and administrative offices for the Real Estate Foundation. It is also the principal site for the Alumni Event Center and its staff. The Real Estate Foundation roles expands to support the infrastructure of the university and community in the development of opportunities for relationship and capital improvements through public and private partnerships and collaborations with other entities for enhancement of university and public good. Requirements: Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Management and be a Certified Management Accountant. Preferred: The ideal candidate must possess at least 7 years experience in progressive commercial real estate accounting, 7 years' experience in cash flow projections, 5 years experience with complex real estate financing including but not limited to private activity bonds, NMTC, etc., 5 years nonprofit accounting experience and experience with partnerships and joint ventures. They must have an advanced knowledge of GAAP standards, and regulatory compliance, be an experienced project manager, and have 7 years of supervisory experience.
