Northrop Grumman is seeking a Software Engineering Manager 2 to join our Camarillo and Pt. Mugu offices. This position will support software and systems engineers developing systems for the EA-18G Growler, Airborne Electronic Attack Mission Planning, JEACO programs, and other programs. What You’ll Get To Do: This candidate will be responsible for the functional management of approximately 15 engineers (systems and software) and a program assignment related to electronic warfare (Mission Planning, Software Development, Requirements). Technical program responsibilities will consume approximately 80% of the candidate’s time, leaving the other 20% for functional homeroom tasks. The candidate will support multiple IPTs and collaborate with other teams across the program both locally and remotely. Functional duties include conducting performance assessments, staffing plans, employee development, communication meetings, disciplinary actions, compensation adjustments, training & educational oversight, and other routine personnel issues. The candidate will provide their direct reports with career development recommendations, mentoring, and technical support. The candidate will also work within the Functional E&S organization, CoEs, and CoPs on strategic technology initiatives to ensure our engineers have the experience, process, and tools to meet future technology and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will provide best practices in system and software-related development to support program execution. This is an excellent opportunity to work with industry experts in Electronic Attack, on a highly collaborative engineering team. Basic Qualifications for Software Engineering Manager 2: Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Computer Science/Engineering or related technical field) plus a minimum of 8 years of experience in software development applications including leading or management experience in a team environment; or Masters Degree in STEM (Computer Science/Engineering or related technical field) plus a minimum of 6 years of experience in software development applications including leading or management experience in a team environment
Experience in the full life cycle for embedded real-time software development
Familiarity with real-time embedded software system design and development
Software Development experience with C++, ADA, or similar languages
Familiarity with System/Software Development processes, tools, and methods

Must have an Active Secret or Top-Secret clearance Preferred Qualifications: Related experience from the Defense/Aerospace industry and familiarity with all phases of the system/software development life cycle used on large formal DoD sponsored programs.
Experience managing, leading, and building teams of more than 10 people.
Familiarity in Electronic Warfare/Electronic Attack systems, or Radar/Jamming or Signal Processing on programs or products.
Familiarity with Northrop Grumman Software Development processes and SEI CMMI Level 3, AS9100, or IEEE compliant software engineering practices (or equivalent).
Familiarity with Digital Transformation concepts such as experience in various Agile Methodologies (SCRUM, SAFe), and MBSE (UML, SysML), DevSecOps (Continuous Integration, Automated Test).
Open Architecture Standards from both a software and hardware perspective.
Salary Range:
$156,500 - $234,700 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
