Job Title: Phlebotomist Location: Leeds, MA 01053 Duration: 1+ Year or Full time (options for 26 weeks contract) Start date: Feb 2025 Shift Schedule: 40 hrs /week Qualifications Experience: 3 years of recent Phlebotomy experience Certifications: Phlebotomist, Basic Life Support (BLS) Responsibilities Perform blood collection using venipuncture, understanding test requirements and patient preparation. Obtain patient specimens for laboratory testing, including blood cultures and compatibility samples. Accession, receive, and transport samples to the lab, including those requiring special handling. Instruct patients on proper collection methods for 24-hour urine and other home-collected samples. Provide general clerical support, manage laboratory orders, patient information, and phone inquiries. Stock and maintain specialized supplies for the drawing area and ensure effective customer relations.
