Summary As a EHS Specialist you will accomplish day to day tactical and strategic objectives in support of the company and the department goals. Demonstrates adherence to company policies and procedures in support of safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale (SQDCM) initiatives. This position is for MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC (MNAe) in Montgomery, AL.

(To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.) Performs PPE analysis, makes recommendations and orders PPE and safety supplies. Knowledge of incident investigation, root cause analysis, tracking injuries, and the corrective actions. Ability to review and makes recommendations for safety improvements. Maintains understanding and knowledge of current federal, state, and company EHS regulations and policies. Performs job hazard analysis, system auditing and ergonomic task analysis. Assists in implementation of injury reduction efforts. Tracks and reports operational safety and environmental performance. Conducts safety training programs for all levels of operations including initial safety orientations. Assist organization by participating in special taskforce assignments and special projects. Recommend EHS policy and program improvements to EHS Manager. Systematically tracks safety items such as PPE, inventory, injuries, first aid cases, inspections, etc. for analysis of trends, identifying opportunities for improvements and reporting. Complete all daily, weekly, monthly audits and inspections and present all documentation in a timely manner to management as directed. Assists in all inspections, audits, and accident, near-misses, incidents and illness report in accordance with EHS operating procedures. Supports all Safety Committee Members and responds to the Committee's concerns and finding. Supports site level Safety Team and Waste Minimization Team programs to improve HSE performance. Prepares, submits, and documents all EPA and OSHA requirements up to but not limited to OSHA 300 log, CAA, CWA, RCRA, storm water / wastewater, Title V, PSM/RMP, SARA 311, 312, 313, Form R and Hazardous waste manifests as well as Air Emissions annual inventory reports. Develops and implements site level training for all personnel to assure understanding and compliance of HSE/EHS programs and environmental permit conditions. Manages SDS data. Recommends and implements new sustainability processes while working closely with regulatory and corporate compliance. Ensures any plant chemical and hazardous waste is properly identified, handled, labeled, stored and disposed of correctly. Other tasks as assigned. Basic Qualifications

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office Products Ability to lead personnel of varying backgrounds, skillsets, and abilities to handle high stress situations with an absolute degree of calmness and professionalism. Recent certification in First Aid/CPR/AED. Knowledge and understanding of workers compensation. Ability to motivate employees, build relationships, and drive initiatives throughout the facility. Strong communication skills, including written, oral, listening and presentation/facilitation to both small and large groups. Required Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in industrial safety or related field preferred or High School Diploma/GED required, and 3 years related experience in the EHS field. 5-7 years of EHS experience in manufacturing/automotive industry

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Knowledge of ISO Certifications OSHA Certification, CSP, ASP, GSP not required, but preferred. First Aid/CPR Certification preferred. Working Conditions

: Office setting, repetitive standing, walking within and between buildings, and occasional travel to off-site meetings. 80% of time will be on production floor interacting with team members. 20% of time will be in the office or performing administrative duties.
