We are seeking a Mental Health Professional or Clinical Trainee to join our Youth Assertive Community Treatment (YACT) team! This full-time or part-time role will travel throughout our six-county service region to see clients in a community setting. The general purpose of this position is to provide mental health services to youth and families referred to Northern Pines Mental Health Center.
Essential Functions include:
Facilitate and co-facilitate individual, group, family, and crisis therapies
Competencies and ability to provide empirically-supported psychotherapy to address a wide range of clinical and behavioral issues
Provide intakes, diagnostic evaluations, and updates to evaluations
Develop and implement a treatment plan
Complete a Behavior Intervention/Crisis Plan
Complete third party billing requirements such as obtaining prior authorizations and communicating with the billing office as necessary
Collaborate regularly with both staff and community partners including: schools, social services, court services, medical agencies, mental health providers, managed care organizations and the community at large
Provide referrals as appropriate
Maintain necessary written records in accordance with NPMHC policies and procedures and other applicable regulations
Provide crisis intervention services as requested
Provide education as needed
Qualifications include:
A Master’s Degree in the behavioral sciences field (e.g. Psychology, Marriage/ Family, Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling)
A valid license in behavioral health without restrictions ( e.g. LICSW, LPCC, LP, LMFT, NP) in the State of MN. Clinical Supervision is available; License-seeking trainees are encouraged to apply!
Valid Driver’s License
Experience working with adolescents in a mental health setting is preferred
