Our challenge
This is a hands-on Data Modeler and a Sr. Developer role to design and implement Datawarehouse with focus on delivering results on-time, in-full to the expected quality levels.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $100k - $115k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with variety of internal teams (e.g., Finance, Risk, Asset Management, etc.) to drive strategic data management priorities through metadata.
Manage the collection and governance of business, technical and operational metadata.
Drive various other metadata management activities, including but not limited to, lineage discovery, metadata creation, metadata change management and reporting.
Develop logical metadata models (e.g., metadata asset model, semantic relationships) to represent business and technical metadata (e.g., reporting hierarchy, physical data elements, logical data elements, data quality controls)
Requirements:
You are:
Candidate with strong Data Modelling and Data Analytical skills (for data stored in Oracle / SQL Server).
Job requires interactions with onsite leadership/developer and strong technical background.
Strong experience in building/setting up a new Data warehouse
Experienced technologist with strong database and data modelling experience
Must have good data modelling tool knowledge: i.e. ERWIN, Sybase Power Designer and others.
Experience in the IT field with experience as Data Modeler and Data Analysts for large and complex systems
In depth Data Modelling experience
Ability to use and analyze data using various reporting tools like Cognos, tableau etc..
Extensive experience with DB & ETL Development tools like PL/SQL, Informatica, Data Warehouse. Hands on shell scripting experience. Unix/Linux experience.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong knowledge of data management concepts, including database structure, and proficiency with Oracle SQL and other standard database query tools.
Experience in data analysis, data mapping techniques.
Work experience with Business Intelligence (data architecture, entity relationship planning, dimensional modelling, ETL, OLAP, analytical reporting) preferred
Solid background in ETL Informatica and database development (Oracle / SQL Server)
It would be great if you also had:
Experience in Trading/Banking technology will be an added plus
Experience in Compliance/Independent Testing area will be an added plus
